when i'm feeling ok i can get a oximeter reading as high as 98 whereas it's as low as 93, 92 on bad accasions.

COPD often causes air-trapping, and that can reduce the amount of O2 that you can take in from room air. If that's not sufficient, your 02 saturation will fall. When it gets below 88%, you need supplemental 02. If you don't have enough to keep you sufficiently saturated, you'll damage the right heart and brain..

Any oxygen saturation of 88 or above is fine. Most pulmonologists will tell you that. Mine also doesn't want me above 94.

experiencing low blood flow in my left leg if it gets much worse my leg will be amputated
