How Long Can Emphysema Stay In The Mild Stages For?

So after my appointment yesterday the consultant say there is slight changes and he can’t rule out emphysema. I am hoping that if it is emphysema then it is mild, after a week of crying and being upset I’m determined to now not let this get me down. Im also trying not to google as some of the sites that come up just aren’t helpful. I know everyone is different etc but I was wondering who is in the mild stages and how long have you had mild emphysema for?

I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired, and this newest complication is on my last nerve.

Anyone else have this hassle? And, if yes, what… read more

I Was Diagnosed Two Years Ago With Mild COPD, But Have Never Had A Cough, Is This Normal? .

I take Spiriva every day and have a rescue inhaler I rarely use. Unfortunately, I am still smoking. It's so hard to quit. What I do have is weakness and pain in my legs and shortness of breath when I walk. My oxygen level is always between 97 and 98. When sitting, my blood pressure is normal, but when I stand to walk, it drops very low (50 or lower) and my heart rate increases rapidly as high as 140 trying to raise the blood pressure. Since last year I have been losing weight. My normal… read more
