Nebulizer
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I use my nebulizer with oxygen as they do in hospitals, when my oxygen gets low this gives me necessary medication and brings my levels up.dr discorage this but i have only20% lungs that was three years ago,i am still not on oxygen,my levels usually hold at 92,but i cannot walk too far without stopping,ig it was not for nebulizer with oxygen i would have been dead.has anyone else doing this>

I've never heard of anyone doing this. Oxygen tubing gets stiff and hard with age from the oxygen going through it especially the canela. I just replaced it.

Oxgen While Exercising
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Currently at a rehab and respiratory theripst seems to feel we should try exercising without oxygen. I find it hard and my o2 drops and heartrate goes to high. Shouldn't we be exercising with out oxgen if our sats decrease on exertion?

Does Anyone Know If The Wei Institute Herbal Treatments Work. Has Anyone On The COPD Team Actually Tried The Treatment?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Regarding the question "does anyone know if the Wei Institute herbal treatments work". I see a few responses that say it is a scam, but has anyone on the COPD team actually tried the treatment and if so, what were the results? My physical rehab therapist has seen very positive results in 3 of 5 patients. One was able to get off oxygen and her FEV1 went from 30% to 50%. Anyone with first hand experience trying the Wei herbal treatment?

Advice Wanted
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

It’s not actually me that has copd. It’s my 76 year old father. I joined this website for him as he is not very good with technology. I’m very heartbroken to see him struggling and I’m so much pain. The copd is progressing very quickly- a lot quicker than I expected... we are talking a COMPLETE change from November of last year. He is now on oxygen full time, (wasn’t on it at all prior) he can’t barely feed himself without having major breathing issues, his days of walking are long gone, can’t… read more

Does Anyone Have Oxygen Just For Night? Is Cpap Or Oxygen Better?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭
A MyCOPDTeam Member

It's not a question of which is better; it's which do you need. If you have sleep apnea, you probably will need a c-pap. If you need 02 as well, you can attached the cannula to the c-pap machine.
