What Is Pulmonary Rehab?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago. I am not having a lot of problems breathing yet but some days are worse than others. When I was told I had COPD the Dr told me it was very mild and as long as I quit smoking it would not create much of a problem for many, many years. But she never mentioned any kind of rehab or advice other than quitting smoking. I guess she figured since I didn't have insurance that it wouldn't matter because I would never be able to afford it. I certainly feel better since… read more

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have COPD. Was hospitalized for 10 days about 3 weeks ago after getting RSV. I was told I’d need oxygen on discharge but after having the walking test I didn’t need it. A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was just diagnosed with pneumonia for the 2nd time in 6 months, but the doctor said the spot they read as pneumonia on the x-ray 6 months ago is in the same place this time. The doctor said I was to finish all my medicines and come back for a CT scan in a month
Has anyone else had the pneumonia show in the exact same spot? Of course CT scan due to my history of smoking which caused my COPD. I am trying not to read too much into it as I know pneumonia can leave spots on our lungs as well as… read more

Is Morphine A USUAL Treatment For Severe COPD?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Oxygen is not being considered by public health respiroligist because it can be addictive but morphine is to trick brain that I am not feeling very short of breath. I can walk comfortably for 4- 5 minutes, blood oxygen is usually 95- 96 at rest, but drops into mid to low 80's when walk further or doing housework.
