Have any of you who are in Pulmonary rehabilitation (or have already been) participated in harmonica therapy as part of your program? If you did do you think it was helpful?

Oxygen isn't prescribed to help with your shortness of breath, although it may help. 02 is prescribed because you aren't able to get enough 02 into your system on room either at rest or with… read more

I have COPD. Was hospitalized for 10 days about 3 weeks ago after getting RSV. I was told I’d need oxygen on discharge but after having the walking test I didn’t need it. I saw my doctor a week after being discharged for a check up. I told her I’m still getting breathless, feel quite weak etc. Plus have a cough now I’ve never had before. She said this is your new normal. Your lungs severely damaged and they aren’t getting any better. Just try and enjoy your life. I walked out feeling just… read more
@A MyCOPDTeam Member. May I ask where you live ? I live in Ontario canada. After having RSV my lungs apparently are now severe. Not sure I needed to hear that if you know what I mean.
I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago. I am not having a lot of problems breathing yet but some days are worse than others. I was just diagnosed with pneumonia for the 2nd time in 6 months, but the doctor said the spot they read as pneumonia on the x-ray 6 months ago is in the same place this time. The doctor said I was to finish all my medicines and come back for a CT scan in a month
Has anyone else had the pneumonia show in the exact same spot? Of course CT scan due to my history of smoking which caused my COPD. I am trying not to read too much into it as I know pneumonia can leave spots on our lungs as well as… read more
I have never had pneumonia so I cannot speak from experience.
Oxygen is not being considered by public health respiroligist because it can be addictive but morphine is to trick brain that I am not feeling very short of breath. I can walk comfortably for 4- 5 minutes, blood oxygen is usually 95- 96 at rest, but drops into mid to low 80's when walk further or doing housework.
Well, it's not a good idea to use more oxygen than needed, the diaphragm can get lazy... So I think that's what the geezer is hinting at. @A MyCOPDTeam Member, slow down a bit...try to keep your level… read more
