I do want to add that I appreciate this site. It's free, and we all get a lot from it. We and the people who own it. It is a godsend and probably a life saver. It could be so much better. At one time… read more
I would have the sea and beaches I have the opportunity to travel in the next year. What would be some suggestions for places to travel with COPD I have moderate copd and am on oxygen at night.
I live in Canada and would be flying out of Calgary.
Would love to hear of any semi-tropical or sea side places I could visit.
Make sure you have an order from your Dr and you will probably be able to rent one Stay away from hot humid places you won't be able to breathe in that air
I am currently taking Spiriva and Symbicort daily. The costs have skyrocketed. I can save $100 if I switch to Trelegy. Question is, will it be as effective? I'm a little worried to change over so any opinions would be welcomed. My doctor is willing to let me try. Thanks.
I’ve been on Trelegy for a bit and I’ve had decent luck with it. I got a savings card on their website and pay $5 a month for it.
I have emphysema
I only use it when I have infections and flare ups, which seems to be a lot lately.
I also use the flute and drink lots of water this will help
I am a 71 years young, retired, male. Survived two strokes in 2009, multiple bouts of pneumonia, and (end of life)stage emphysema. Currently on 5L oxy, 24/7. Minimum activity will take my pulse/ox to low 80/upper 70. I have to immediately stop to recover back to mid 90. We are considering a move back to our home area in the Omaha, NE region. What challenges will I face in the change in altitude, pressure, air quality, dryness, etc.
Appreciate any comments, input.
