I like using the nebulizer for my albuterol and Atrovent/iptropium Rx but my doctor says that Medicare will not cover the cost in Arkansas. What else is an option?
Do the Canadian inhalers work. I have thought about getting my Spriva there but so far had been advised against it so haven't done it. Do you notice any difference?
This just began 3 days ago. Not doing anything different,
I've heard of this before. Never tried it myself but it sounds reasonable.
I have Alpha 1 and do the Aralast treatment bi-weekly. For a day or two afterward it makes breathing harder. Does anyone else have this issue ? Or with any of the other treatments Prolastin,Zimera, etc

My question comes from ending up in the hospital several times recently. A little background. My husband found out last july he has copd. Doctors told him 7 years ago he had emphasema (excuse my spellings) he has a inhaler, & a few other tablets to take but they dont seem to work and his gp seems to fob him off (i feel its because he still smokes) but is there a copd nurse or someone that could advice us with further treatments?

We took my husband to a walk-in clinic today with symptoms of one of his regular UTIs, been down this road several times, but the nurse said she didn't like the sound of Bill's sinus cough and she diagnosed him with chronic bronchitis and ordered a steroid inhaler for him. After being in here for a few years, I got concerned about her DX. Thankfully, it had to be ordered by the pharmacy so I said, Hold off on that till I ask some more questions. Research showed me that a pulmonologist should be… read more
It really is, Dina. It's also nice to keep them both equally informed. Sounds like you have a good team working with you.
