I've had COPD since 2008. Predisone will blow your body up like a balloon. It's ok for a week, but while it helps you breathe better.....It makes your body blow up....Then it's hard for you to get around or do some of the things you use to do. I - personally try to stay away from that drug!! My Pulmanary Dr. has put me on..... Nebulizer machine, Spiriva, Advair, Provental, exerice(walking), and a proper Diet. I have good days and bad days.....But God keeps me going! You must have a good attitude in order to live longer. I believe this. It helps if you have family to boost your spirits, and support you on your bad days!!!! Love to all of you!!!

If I were on oxygen would it make it easier to walk and exercise? Would it help keep me off steroids?
