Spiriva Vs Breo
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I use Spiriva and was thinking about asking my doc about Breo because it just seems to be more convenient than Spiriva. Does anyone use Breo and no longer Spiriva, and if so, how do you compare the two?

I take Spiriva and so far Im happy.Yes the tablets can be a nuisance to get out of packet.I usually take all tablets out 10 at a time put them in old medicine bottle.Easier and it works for me.

When I saw my doctor last week he put me on the new Spiriva Respimat. So far I really like it. Just ordered an oximeter because my oxygen needs seem to be fluctuating. In the hospital I was on 3 ltrs and at home they want me on 2. Now I can tell when I need more or less because I' ve been getting really bad headaches when I'm low.

the differenc e between breo and Spiriva is Spiriva is anticholergenic bronchodilator and breo is inhaled corticosteroid/bronchodilator.Spiriva works for the removal of mucous and breo is for inflammation of the airways.Hope everyone is doing good.
