EXCESSIVE SWEATING.
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

hi folks, my question is, I sweat profusely, morning, afternoon, evening and sometimes in bed at night. I sweat if I'm cold, I naturally sweat when it's hot, with virtually any activity, I quite often have to put a towel on my pillow, this drives absolutely mad and leaves me open to chills and then chest infections, I have to try and just exactly what to wear otherwise I'm dripping wet, is this because of COPD ??. many thanks friends .

Thanks, I haven't gained in weight, but boy have I ever put on extra fat, or water,,,, I'm at my life time weight, but went from a 32 pants, to 38' I never drank an excess of beer, but I have one of the biggest beer belles.... With over hang..... I have to hide in the house, could get a ticket over load.... I've tried getting off the steroids, but each time I go back to the doctor, she puts me back on them... I'm told it helps with pain, I don't know.... I understand the stomach issue, been dealing with that all my life.... And lots of little aches, butch number of places,, but that is old age, getting you ready for the next round,,,,,, have a great day,

Jim,
I love your humor to all this.
The doc had me on presidone many different times. Each time I gained weight and turned into a cranky ol' thing! I got up to 237lbs. 2 years ago. I'm back down to 170, but could still loose another 20. I figure, as my one doc said. As sick as I have been the last 5 months, it was a good thing I had the extra, weight on, because I just couldn't eat much at all. I'm still having stomach issues, I'm not on any steroids. Just trying to go with the flow.
Have better days and know you are a good person.
Hope you are feeling better about yourself.
Sincerely,
Holyn

One thing I don't like about that presidone, is the loss of bone matter, I had my left hip replaced in 04 and for some reason.ive been getting pains in my hips, after sleeping... I don't like that my face looks I might weight, 300 pounds. Thru all my years, I've never gained past 210 pounds, and I took that off, back to my life weight of 185. But I've gained 4 pants sizes, and shirts.... But Guess at 73 years old, no need in trying to win a beauty contest,,,, grin,,,,, missed out on that even as a youngster..... God bless you all.. Have a great day
