My husband is getting a lot of pain in his legs , back, chest, shoulders. He has had angiogram, and seen a consultant for vascular disease but there seems to be no concerns at the minute. He has got gtn spray for chest pain which helps. He isn't overweight in fact he is underweight. He is very lethargic. Just finished a course of antibiotics and steroids but doesn't seem any better. You need to consult a pulmonologist. Most GP's are good people and mean well, but they don't know much about COPD, current research, medications and treatments, and if your guy wasn't sharp enough to make a referral, he's also not doing you any favors. The pain you're describing is not normal for anyone, and definitely not normal for someone with COPD. The lethargy could be depression, but could be a number of other things which are related to COPD. Find a good pulmonologist and get your husband in to see him/her ASAP.

Sitting or laying for a long time with out any kind of movement will cause this pain. I know I can't move hardly or I'm out of breath therefore I don't get enough exercise. I hurt all over.

I would suggest you find a new GP that is familiar with COPD. I quit going to the Pulmonologist as they were doing the same meds as my GP so why go to two different Dr for the same thing. Pain is not normal with COPD & I am on light Happy Pills so I don't get depressed due to not being able to do much anymore. Hope this helps
