You will find help on several sites on the computer. I used the patch and had "stop smoking" tapes that I used when I went to bed. I also used those candy licorice whips. Just to have something similar to a cigarette. I quit smoking in 2010. It is hard but always remember if u have a cigarette don't give up just consider that as a slip and continue on without cigarettes. But again, check out the sites there is a lot of help out there. Just don't pay for anything cause those could be scams. Maybe American Heart or Lung Associations. Good luck.

I used Chantix because the first few weeks you could still smoke, but than it made me forget I needed a cigaret. I also used candy canes to have something to chew on and in my mouth.
I have to say that I was a very heavy smoker. For 10 years I am smoke free. I do have COPD. No fun.

I smoked for over 50 yrs. and thought I couldn't quit, it will be a year in Dec. I used the patch for about a month and then just made up my mind that I had to quit. It's not easy and I still crave cigs. every now and then but I don't have anything around me so the feeling passes. Good luck!!

I thought I never could. But Chantix did it for me. I am still in awe that it worked for me. I was a heavy smoker for more than 50 years. What attracted me was that I could keep on smoking while taking the Chantix what won me over. After a week I forgot that I needed a cigarette, after two weeks it became more urgent that I didn't want one. It's amazing.
