The following comes from a couple of sites for oxygen usage:

For lubrication or rehydration of dry nasal passages, use water-based products. Your pharmacist or care provider can suggest these.

Do not use Vaseline or other petroleum-based creams and lotions on your face or upper part of your body unless you talk to your respiratory therapist or doctor first. Products that are safe include:
•Aloe vera
•Water-based products, such as K-Y Jelly

I've recently had some pretty serious nose bleeds and historically, I'm not a bleeder. Thankfully, my granddaughter was here when I had my first bad one. Neither one of us could stop it. She had to take me to the ER and it took them 2 hours to stop it and keep it stopped. They thought they had it stopped and were ready to send me home then suddenly it started again. They discussed giving me a transfusion and sending me via ambulance to San Antonio but I gave a quick thumbs down to that idea. They finally shot a rhino something up the left nostril and it had a tube coming out of it that they taped to the side of my face. (How appetizing is that for someone sitting at the dining table with you?) It was to remain there for 4 days and they made me a app't with an ENT. He removed it, on the 4th day, it bled a little, but it was a manageable flow. They had my Oxygen company come out and add a water bottle to the concentrator to put humidity into the air. Also, the ENT is having me use AHR (?) gel. I had the spray, but he said no to the spray & use the gel but to only put it on the septum. It's been over 2 weeks and no more bleed.
