Janice, it's not a all unusual for people with COPD to have a number of other conditions a well. I assume that the 27 pills are not all for COPD, so I believe you must have some other co-morbidities. I would make sure that your pharmacist is aware of everything you're taking and could review your meds to be sure that none of them are interfering with others. Often when we go to different specialists, they don't always know what interferes with what, but your pharmacist will.

Hi I have oxygen at home for use when needed. I also have 4 breathing treatments a day but that too is for use when needed, 5 pills and 2 inhalers. Yes it can be overwhelming. I was very fortunate to be put on a home b i pap machine that I use at night, it gives my lungs a break and I feel much better in the morning. I rarely need breathing treatment, or oxygen but I have it if I need it. I don't hesitate using it. I agree it does seem like a lot sometimes. Have you gotten a second opinion about your meds. I am grateful that I have a very good relationship with both my pulmonary doc and my reg doc. They always explain things very well and I trust them. You should be able to talk to your doctors about anything but also you need to be able to trust they are doing what is best for you as an individual. On your breathing treatments does it say use as needed or a flat 4 times a day? I hope you start feeling better. HUGSSS

Do you have underlying health problems that you need to take the meds for.I have one tablet for copd and three inhalers and the rest are for other health issues I would ask the doctors about the different meds.Hope you are well
