The difference is that the trilogy can be more finely tuned to the individual using it than a bi-pap machine. They do essentially the same thing: provide pressure on both the inhale and the exhale. The major thing they do is blow off accumulated CO2.

Trilogy is an at home vent. I use it when I sleep. It helps keep the gases down in the oxgen and helps keep the airway open. I have been on it almost a year now.
