I too cannot get by on pulse! must use continuous. doctor says it is because i am a shallow breather, there fore, i don't trigger the "pulse". and the few portable concentrators that offer "continuous" eat up battery charges so you need to carry many batteries if going on a flight!!

I use the nasal mask and also have a resivor tank hooked up to my cpap machine to help with your nose not drying out.. It helps tremendously.. I can't sleep without it.. I have the Res-Med E9 and it works wonderfully.

I have the nasal pillows for my Cpap. They are comfortable and I don't even know they are there. Took some getting used to sleeping with the big Cpap tubes, but I love it. Wish I could use it all the time - I can truly sleep all night with this magic machine!

WOW, sorry to hear of your discomfort! I find that sleeping on my back causes me to have dry mouth also, consequently, I try to avoid this position. Other than that, I am sleeping fine. Hope this has helped, better dreams for you my friend!

There are 4 distinctive types of "masks" out there and hundreds of variations of each of the 4.
First is the fireman or spaceman masks, these types are for people who are claustrophobic or just like having an unobstructed view.
Second is the full face, it doesn't cover the entire face like the fireman mask, but still covers the mouth and nose.
Third is the nasal mask and as it's name implies it only covers the nose.
Last but not least is the nasal prongs or pillows.
Well there you have them. If you have more specific questions please feel free to ask
