Pulmonary Re-hab.
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am going for an assessment for pulmonary re-hab on 27 April, but unfortunately, due to 3/52 hospital admission with severe chest infections, both right and left lung, I now have to use my oxygen on exertion 24/7. Has anyone done pulmonary re-hab with their portable oxygen on their back?

Yes I have. They usually hook you up to their oxygen on continuous whatever liter you are in. Then you excersise on many different machines. They start you out slow and you build on it. The first time 4 minutes seemed like forever. But now I go so much longer on my machines at home. They offer so much information. It's good to go to pulmonary rehab. It builds your strength and endurance. Be well........

I just finished rehab and where I went they had tanks there for me to use so I didn't waste my oxygen. I was always on oxygen while working out and staff check levels regular

I work out at a gym Mon. thru Fri. with my portable oxygen unit on. Don't know if I would last very long without it.

I go to rehab and they supply u with oxygen. You do need a doctors prescription to go..
It really helps me. Medicare pays for 36 sessions and now I pay 45 dollars a month..
Hope this helps l!!
