If you mean wake up with a sore throat & stopped up nose & aching all over, then yes. I usually wait til after 5 O'clock PM, take a shot of whiskey. Then take another one at bed time. I don't do this every single night. But the burn of it will kill my sore throat & seems to ease my sinuses. I did it for 2 weeks & what ever it was got over with & I only have to do that every great once in a while now. I wait til after 5 pm, because I have always felt that, unless I am burning up with a fever, alcohol is just one of those drinks you do not touch in the first part of the day & I have a 2 drink limit regardless of when I drink.

Think I would see my doc for that.
