Has Anyone Had Dental Work Done While Wearing Oxygen?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I need to go to the dentists. I have to be on oxygen 24/7 and wonder how that works in the dentists chair. Anyone done this or have any advice?
Thank you all.

I had the same question. Just started oxygen and I have had a tooth break.

I had a lot of dental work done a few years ago and anytime I needed it they put it on me.

I have a lot of work to be done and must be oxygen at all times. Others on this site have said they use oxygen during their dental visits, so I guess I still don't know the answer.

Last time my dentist had to put a filling in I had to take my oxygen off while he drilled my tooth. Can no longer go w/o oxygen even for short period of time. So do I just let my teeth rot? I still have twice a year cleanings.

yes, I have my 5# tank I haul around and Doc had no issues working around things. Had an abscessed tooth and he got that sucker right out of there - didn't even feel more than a slight pinch of needle and was numb. No problems!
