@A MyCOPDTeam Member Hi! as with all advice on this site we all get to exercise caution! What is ok for me may not be so for another. We get to make informed choices on this site even with encouraging others to movement I generally add the caution of saying to their ability they choose if and how much exercise they will or will not do! Often as not I also say ask your Doctor. I have also seen others take care to say much the same. Cynthia we would not ever want another to suffer as a result of what we say so I would say most of us try to gauge what we say!

Half Fill a Narrow Neck Plastic Water Bottle ( about 1 litre size) with water; insert a drinking
straw into the bottle : : and blow bubbles for as long as you can without taking a breath. Do this
as many times as you can during the day. Happy Bubbles makes a happy sound and easy breathing.
I call my bubble bottle as my PEP BOTTLE it peps me up.

Hey Anz11. Just sleep hon. Overthinking abouth breathing makes you concenrate and over enphisize. Sounds like you suffer severe anxiety. It is a fine line for anxiety and breathkessness. The reality is when you sleep you breatth easy and therefore your body gets that well needed rest. It is a natural instinct to breath, but when you have had a life /death experience, it therefore brings on the doubt. Another thing is get a little handheld fan (battery operated) and when you are feeling anxious blow it on you face and breath. You will find it helps. Its like having oxygen on and whilst trying to breath focus on a quadrangle and the sides to help regain composure of breathing

Here is something I learned from a doctor. It does not cost a lot, the price of a jar of pasta sauce and large hole straws. After you use the sauce clean out the jar and put a hole in the center of the lid . Fill the jar about 3/4 full and put the lid back on, insert the straw in the hole, pulling it up from the bottom so it does not hit the bottom. Blow bubbles forcibly for about 5 minutes several times a day to strengthen your lungs and clear congestion. It works . If 5 minutes is too much for you just do it as long as you can comfortably and build up your lungs at your own pace . Everyone is different . Breathe easy .
