What are the duty’s and or purpose’s of an Ambassador on this group site? How do they come about, and who are they? 👥

@A MyCOPDTeam Member well said. Recently I was advised I must have mispelled a word on a post and wasnt made aware of it until I was at my office and couldnt do anything about it. I thought ambassador could correct it and asked for help. I was promptly and KINDLY told only admisinstrators could do that. Perhaps the administrator was made aware of my request as the post is no longer there ( I still do not know what it said and I really would like to know). I think our ambassadors do a fantastic job. If there is a question they will find an answer or direct us to the answer. The ambassadors answer promptly and are always courteous. If I find something I do not like in a discussion, I scroll on by. I do not have the right to judge anyone, only God has that right. I, however, do have the right of association. That one I will exercise.
I sincerely hope this tempest in a teapot blows over quickly. I love this site. The people I have met have really made my life better. I find their courage and fortitude empowering, their knowledge enlightening and I love sharing their joy of life.
Hugs.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, we certainly are not site police nor do we monitor the site looking for violations. We are members just like you who were asked by admin, to consider being an ambassador or you can nominate anyone else on the site by emailing (Email address can only be seen by the question and answer creators) Yes, we help direct disaagreements back towards a productive conversation if called on and comfort those in distress just as most of you would do. We mainly keep the peace. You can read our duties by clicking notification window in upper right hand window, scroll down to "What is an Ambassador " Please also read "What is my COPD Team? Part of the guidelines on our site are not to judge others. You can peruse Community Guidelines on Activity page

I think we all need to stop mony about what others put in their remarks as I thought we are all here to supporting each and try to advise each on things as I know that many have done lots to help others out, let's all support each other & all the new people that come onto the C.O.P.D site. Let's all stay positive & breathe easy. Hugs to all.

Do you go thru the activity area @A MyCOPDTeam Member, we helped a fellow with depression just the other day. We also helped a paraplegic have a happy birthday whose own family forgot him. Unfortunately, we do not get notifications when someone posts on the activity page. I go thru it a few times a day & then there is the time differences where we dont see their posts unless we look for them

There are thousands of members on here it is extremely hard to reach everyone, I put an open invitation out for the parties and invite team mates and all others. I will gladly relinquish the next party to someone else, maybe you lol. My goal has always been to assist others and bring a smile to someones face and will continue to do so.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, we need to be talking more about copd & what can be done to make our lives better or easier. I think admin has been doing this by asking questions, & they are very helpful! They probably think we should talk about it more, too. I haven't seen anything about depression on here for a long time. Your "parties" aren't even known by everyone unless they are your friends. I didn't make any disparaging remarks-- I just said what I felt. It's not my fault I feel like this. I used to love this site & all the things I learned.
