@A MyCOPDTeam Member, girl friend do not make me crawl out of my bed and come across the miles to give you a good old butt whooping....Your heart, your lungs, your brain...all your major organs are affected by this mess. Do not mess with it...You get a pain...you get your butt to the doctor.....You do not know if your lungs are putting to much strain on the heart or if your heart is putting too much stress on your lungs....Either way it is nothing to play with....You hear me loud and clear I know...so do what is right.....and get in...Get it checked out...The worst news you can get is...your are now an inpatient...and that might just be what you need to get yourself straightened out....On the other hand, you may get a full good report that you are just stressed, bp too high, and pulse ox too low.....Whatever it takes get in. I love you.. Praying for you....Be blessed and keep your breathing going round the clock. Let me hear from you....In Christ...S'andra LaRue

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, this post right here is maddening !

It’s over 4 years old, and @A MyCOPDTeam Member passed away in 2018 ! We noted it on her post, and her profile hasn’t been touched by her since she passed.

Please, please, please - have the programmers of the algorithms “retire” her posts from the automatically promoted feature, and find a way to mark all posts of deceased members who have been ID’d as deceased so that we aren’t encouraging new members to engage with folks who can never respond.

Lungs don't have pain receptors, so the pain is not your lungs. However, there are muscles, linings, tendons and a lot of other things all in that area that do have lots of pain receptors and sometimes it's a lung rubbing against a lining that causes the pain. You should get it checked out. Unidentified pains in the chest area aren't good and you need to know what the problem is.

Please check with your doctor. Pain relieving meds can hinder your breathing while relieving pain. When in doubt ask DR.
