Skin FEELS tight as if they are swollen. But they are not swollen. Not sure if I should be concerned about this?

I have swollen feet and ankles from the prednisone I am taking. Also, face swells up, can't get enough food and talk a lot. WEIRD.

I have frequent swollen ankles and feet. Within a month, there's probably 1 week where they are normal. I am on hydrochlorothiazide, which is a water pill which I take 1 pill in the morning. I did go to the doctor 2 weeks ago with this concern. He looked at them saying that he didn't think they were too bad. I was wearing funky shoes cause I couldn't get my leather walking shoes on. He said he thinks it's from the copd and the lack of adequate control. I take Breo and Spiriva. He gave me a new inhaler called Trelegy to try before I go to the pulmonologist for my 6 month check up. He ran blood tests and they all came back negative for anything more serious. So, it's anybody's guess!!! The last time I showed the pulmo my swollen feet, he said to take it up with my primary, which is what I just did. When I go to the pulmo next week, I'm going to ask him again if he thinks it's due to the copd. Take care till I find out something.....I hope!!!!!

@A MyCOPDTeam Member you don't take prednisone all the time, right? it must be for a certain length of time until you feel better? I had that twice for a flare up with bad cough and it sure fixed the cough within a week but after that I read on here that it isn't good to take that all the time and I forget the reason but it wasn't good, breathe easy

Check with your doc if you're concerned. Just call the office and talk with the nurse. If you need to be seen, I'd go. Fluid retention is nothing to play around with because there are so many things that could cause it.

Yes!! My feet and lower legs feel really tight, but the swelling is little to none. Have been wondering what the deal is since it is bothersome to me. I take Symbicort trice a day, and breathing treatments when needed. This disease causes strange things to occur, right?
