Headache From Inhaler
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just started using inhalers, Symbicort twice a day and rescue inhaler Albuterol. Whenever I use the rescue one I get a slight headache on one side of my head. Anyone else have this happen?

it might be good to check with one of the nurses or RTs in your pulmonologist's practice to let them know what you're experiencing. I've not heard of that, but strange things do happen. Ask them to help you determine if you're using proper inhaler technique and if there's anything else that they would recommend. I guess my point is that it's not ordinary, so I'd get it checked out.

The albuterol contains a chemical that can cause your vessels to constrict--this usually creates a headache....same reason it can cause that 'shaky' feeling ( like too much coffee)
