I take regular Mucinex and it works pretty well. ButI only take it when I can't cough up the thick mucus. I have not noticed any side effects. But then again, I am on Spiriva, Xopenex, albuterol nebi, and right now a taper of the dreaded prednisone again for the third tome in a month and a half. So even if I had any side effects I would not know which one to blame it on. Soi just keep trucking along, and deal with them. At least they help me breathe, Hang in there
I do take Mucinex when my chest feels heavy. It works very well to loosen the congestion and bring up the phlem. I may take for two or three days and it helps a lot. I also take Symbicort daily. I have an emergency abuterol inhaler that I never have to use but like to know its there if I need it. I dreed getting a cold as I know my next month or so is nothing but hard breathing and coughing.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member .. make sure you drink lots of water with it .. if not it doesn't work well..!
Good Luck ..:))
Thank you for the valuable information Deborah. I was debating on taking it, if their weren't serious side effects.
