Travel
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I would have the sea and beaches I have the opportunity to travel in the next year. What would be some suggestions for places to travel with COPD I have moderate copd and am on oxygen at night.
I live in Canada and would be flying out of Calgary.
Would love to hear of any semi-tropical or sea side places I could visit.

Predinsone Causing Headaches
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

My body isn't liking it, I have to go on prednisone for a couple of weeks. Here's my question:
Has anyone (that's been on this medication) had success getting rid of the headache that goes along with it????
Regular headache medication doesn't seem to even take the edge off.

Anyone Experienced Severe Side Effects From Use Of Inhalers?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Why is there so little discussion here of the side effects and dangers of both short and long term from the use of inhalers or even long term oxygen therapy? And I have stopped using ipraproprium bromide (Atrovent/Berodual) because after a couple of uses I get feelings of extreme weakness accompanied by worrying heart arrhythmias that l can… read more

How Has Everyone Been?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

How is everyone been doing? I have been away from here for quite a while. I hope everyone is hanging tough. I am doing pretty well since I had surgery. Feels good to feel better. I did go up to Houston to Methodist Hospital. I had lung reduction surgery. It's no joke! Yet, here I am and I give all the glory to God and the best doctors in the world.

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Also that opiates ( Demerol/Morphine ) can help open airways. I take Fentanyl and Hydrocodone for severe arthritis and notice some difference.
