A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am wondering if it is beneficial to use a spacer (Prochamber Aero Spacer) when using Spiriva Respimat.

You should NOT use a space with the Respimat delivery system. It's not designed to work with a spacer and you'll lose the benefit of the medication. Because it sprays out and the way the mouthpiece is designed, you can breathe in nice and slow and get everything without using a spacer.

I used Spiriva Handihaler also, but asked Dr. to change me to Spiriva Inhaler and I like it so much better than the capsule. The Inhaler is so much easier to use and it works great.

I use a spacer with Symbicort, but I was wondering if I should
use a spacer with Spiriva that I take also.
