Are you on any heart medications? I take two, metoprolol and hydrochlorothiazide. And I get the cramps you're talking about so the doc put me on some potassium pills also. I also have neuropathy in my neck, I take gabapentin for that. But the cramps I get are due to the heart medications. Eat more bananas....that will help.

Sometimes nurses really know what they're talking about, but sometimes they don't. I'd talk with the doc to be sure. Sometimes the way we breathe, especially when we're struggling, can bring on lots of muscle pain and discomfort.

I'm gonna say lack of oxygen to parts of the body from the way we breathe.. Have you tried nasol breathing? I found if I nasol breathe only exhale and inhale.. My body doesn't hurt as much.. Only if you can do it.. It's hard but can be done.. Check out buteyko breathing on youtube.. It's saved my life.. Better oxygen to the parts of the body.. Simple

I think I agree that the pain has something to do with COPD. Have neck and back pain. I take over counter pain meds and keep going.
