Ya those freak accidents can sure change things real fast. It is good to hear the love between you and your wife kept you together thru it all. That can be a hard road to walk when illness comes. Sounds like you have a good support system with you. I am basily here alone. So gets somewhat scary if I can't walk, drive, or even open a jelly lid. Right now I have a 83 yr old boarder who helps. But he is fading fast and his daughter may have to make other arrangements for him in the near future. I guess stay strong is all we can do

I am at the point where it makes me mad. I want to do something and just cannot, and the pain can bring tears to your eyes. I am determined to ride my mower and mulch leaves this fall. May take half a bottle of advil to do it and wear a mask of some sort...but that is a chore I have always loved doing. I may not be able to stand up racing down the hill, but can still pretend I am a Nascar driver out there. LOL
I sure wish you all the best..cannot even imagine the pain you must be in. Will pray for healing. Do you wear a brace. Can you sit or stand at all? Sorry Nosey here. But your story is a learning tool.
