I was diagnosed with mild copd
I have frequent infections. I have been on antibiotics 4 times from Oct to Dec. I am being followed by plumonoligst. I have undergone function test,, CT scan, x-ray, ECG so far. I will go for a nuclear test next week and then a stress test on 21st. Hopefully they will find out what is causing my shortness of breath,,cough, wheezing and chest infections back to back. Hi Jean, as time goes by and I am not sure if you're a smoker or not but if you're not smoking 🚬 and as time goes by and you stay as positive as you can possibly can you will get better a bit more and you'll have less infections. I held on tight, I am stage 4 24-7 oxygen and it been that way for me just about from the beginning and that was 6+ years ago and I struggle led every day for about a year and I got stronger every day since but it's not easy, you need to want to live for something besides struggling every day, and then there's a meaning that makes it more able to get each day and want to be better and do better. But when you're sick πŸ€’ a lot it's very discouraging, so you just need to tell your self it's just getting thought this and it will get better. You need to take care of yourself when you're sick and don't over do anything , you need just too concentrate on getting the infection gone and it may take a few months but you're lungs got to get rid of the fluid buildup and it will take it's course so be kind to your self and let it take it's course and get good rest and drink lots of fluids. Breathe easy and take care of yourself πŸŽ„ and have a good Christmas πŸŽ„

I suggest they look for bronchiectasis and some of the more exotic variations of lung disease that sometimes accompany or follow a diagnosis of COPD, like pseudonomas and some of the other rarer things that occur. The back to back infections are indicative of something besides COPD going on, especially if the COPD was diagnosed as mild. A good diagnostic workup for heart issues wouldn't be out of line either. A check with a good infectious disease doc would be a reasonable thing, too.

I did not receive results but assumed that they would not have let me leave if anything serious.
