God would not have you be the tail but the head ,not the bottom but at the top, not feed yourself negative things but feed on positive energetic things, that will give you a attitude of gratitude believe me it will take you to a higher a ALTTITUDE

Well there is no cure for COPD, however, there are things we can do to slow down the process, first and most important is to quit smoking if you do, and also stay away from second hand smoke. Move, don't just sit, exercise, be active, so if you get out of breath, stop for a few minutes, but never give in to this disease, I sure won't, don't you. Enjoy your life, maybe we can't do everything we could before, like run, and dance, that was my biggy, dancing, I love to dance, but now I have to watch, it's okay, I can remember the days I did and be grateful for every breath I take. Hugs to you, hang in there. :) ♥

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, I have been just drinking water, but now that winter is here I will be drinking mugs of good tea with local honey. Honey is best if you can get local because all the nectar is gathered from local bees from your area and better for you. I've stocked up from a neighbor and have to admit it is delicious by the spoonful when having coughing fits. Of course just adding a bit of lemon juice to it helps cut that wicked phlegm a bit and calms the coughing fits.

Just to clear up some misinformation, there is no valve replacement. There is something called a Zephyr Valve that can sometimes help open the bronchial tubes to allow better oxygen in and out. I understand it is expensive and not everybody even qualifies. Based on what I have read, you must be in the early stages of COPD to even be considered.
