I think that the new administration has done a great deal to get more vaccine manufactured and greatly improved the roll-out to states. They've barely been there a week so give them a little time to fix some of the problems they inherited. How the various states actually organize the distribution of vaccines varies widely, so talk with your state health officials about that. Corona virus scares you and it scares me, but it doesn't scare everyone and that shows now. Wear your mask, wash your hands, don't get close to others....actually, the grocery store isn't so bad, because people are moving around and not gathering in one place close enough to make a difference. Keep moving and you'll probably be ok. Better yet, order your groceries on line and pick them up.

Yes and getting the vaccine

Only so much vaccine can be produced each day. There isn't enough to give it 24/7. There are 2 mutations from Great Britain and South Africa that are worse and the vaccines may not work on them. You still need all the rules after getting the vaccine. This is the new normal.
