I am on oxygen nearly 24/7. Lately the runny nose has become chronic. Anyone have a remedy that works? I do not have a cold and am not allergic to anything. Is this just another part of our COPD that simply must be tolerated? Yes, I will ask my pulmonologist, but wanted to hear from those on the front lines.
Oh my, yes I used to have that too! Please use this wonderful remedy: Ayr brand Saline Nasal Gel with Aloe Vera. It is inexpensive and Amazon has it in both an ointment and spray. Be sure to massage it right up inside your nostrils -- great relief!
Of course your pharmacy will carry it, but going out can be such an effort I have come to rely on Amazon for most things.
If you can post back after you have used it. I would like to hear what you think.
I am on 24 7 I get very dry blood in my nose and if I don't get it out I can't breath.i have to pick at both sides to get it out and it hurts badly I don't wish this on anyone.so I went and told the oxygen people and they put a small humidifier on my big machine. But it doesn't make much of a difference. So not good news but I hope it was helpful. Sending prayers your way. God bless
It absolutely drives me nuts. I asked my dr and he said get a tissue that has a lotion in it.
Talk with your pulmo about rhinitis, which is most likely what this is. Most of us have issues with runny noses and O2. It's not at all unusual and there are some things that can help.
