Looking For A Team Member
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question đź’

How do I go about finding a team member I haven't heard from or haven't seen any posts from him and that's not like him at all. Several of us have sent him chick ins and still have not heard back. His name is Scooby-Doo, we all miss him just not knowing anything is the worst. If you could help us we would be very grateful 🙏

You’re right, @A MyCOPDTeam Member, about it being intrusive for the grieving family. That’s one reason I suggest waiting 6 months to a year before the admins try and contact anyone. Grief goes at its own pace, and I certainly wouldn’t want to add to anyone’s sorrow.

Early December, probably, @A MyCOPDTeam Member. @A MyCOPDTeam Member was understandably broken up about his dog, Chrissy, passing away, and debating on whether or not his health could be improved by moving.

I hadn’t realized he’d made the choice to move, as he was always helping his buddy, Rob?, with medical appointments as they both struggled with their individual health issues.

While I’ve also heard that Scooby dropped out of sight in the past for an extended period before coming back online, I can’t help but remember our friend, @A MyCOPDTeam Member, who got divorced and made a similar move only to die a month or two later, shortly after he’d relocated.

Sadly, unless all of us leave final instructions with login names and passwords, folks may be left to wonder about us if their family or executor has no idea that the deceased hung out with us and would appreciate an update if they pass away.

Frankly, I think the profile should have an opt-in option for site administrators to use to contact up to three (3) emergency contacts if you haven’t been online for six months or a year.

With so many of us spending time on online-only sites, more thought must be given to leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for friends and family to follow to help the person’s less visible friends get updated if something happens to them.

Thanks so much for all the info @A MyCOPDTeam Member. I did send a note to @Tenille to see how she was doing and it went through like it was a real person. I doubt if I will get an answer though. lol By the way, I did get a note from management yesterday and I did mention that we thought 10 years was a bit too long to hang onto our information. We shall see what they have to say. When you said Forum, I thought maybe there was a place on here I didn't know about, but you are absolutely right, THIS is a forum.
You stay safe and warm in your upcoming storm!
