For me, it's worse in the morning and at night. very little during the day.

Yes, I cough up and out mucus all day long. Since it’s allergy season and I’m temporarily living with a heavy smoker, it’s changed consistency and is more bloody / pink vs reddish brown, but it’s all within normal ranges for me.

In my case, it’s a brownish red hard plug in the morning that I cough up and out, cloudy for most of the day, and back to a hard plug in the mid afternoon (the naps work just like overnight sleeping for creating congestion).

Keep a diary for about a year, and it should help you research your own version of normal to help you define your triggers. Hugs

so sorry to hear this

I was same as RickA above,,, when I wake in morning have a bit of a session. Maybe 2 times a hour cough something up during day, sometimes not. Then ard 8 pm I would have a 15 minute or so cough up that could produce a lot of phlegm sometimes. Sometimes wheezy at night but quick hit of rescue inhaler fix that..... I would KILL to be like that again. Coughing up is a good thing, its when you cant that sucks. After last battle of of what ever bug I had I get jammed up. Phlegm gets stuck middle of chest and wont get up to mouth,,, its horrible
