Many people use Breo and Spiriva. Breo is a combination long acting beta agonist and an inhaled corticosteroid and Spiriva is a long acting muscarinic agent. Together they form what is standard treatment for COPD: a LAMA, a LABA and an ICS. The new triple therapy meds, Trelegy and Breztri are combinations of those three meds in one inhaler. The treatment you're getting is well within the standard of care.
One thing you may NOT understand is that each of the manufacturers have meds in each of the classes: LAMA, LABA and ICS, but none of them use the same molecules as the others. That's why one med works well for one person and doesn't work nearly as well for the next person. You may have to do a lot of trial and error work to find the individual molecules that work best for you.
The Trelegy and Breztri medicines do contain three different ingredients. However the Breztri was not designed for use with an Asthma diagnosis at all.
BUT Trelegy evolved by taking the older Breo product ana updating with an additional mucus -suppressing chemical.
The new, misting inhaler design is more efficient dispensing technology. Unless you argue about global warming. There is a big difference between breathing in a powder formula deeply enough versus the finer misted spray.
And every Body is different.
