Winter Crud

Anyone having the winter crud..Cough for weeks and congestion ? Taken 2 rounds of prednisone and 2 types of antibiotics still I don't have near the lung power I had in October.Seems to hang on forever.Any suggestions ?

Thanks so much for all of your great advice..yeah I have a flutter device I use every morning sometimes 2x day.I should use more I bet..and I started the 6 minute walk on treadmill again this past weekend So yep your all are right get more excersize BUILD UP THOSE LUNGS I haint got time for no foolishness like my Granny used to say

This isn't an unusual problem. You might ask for a sputum test to be sure the antibiotic you're getting actually works on your particular bug; sometimes even the broad spectrum antibiotics don't always work. Once you've actually gotten rid of it, getting back to your regular level of functioning can be daunting and take a long time. I always find that getting back to a regular exercise routine as soon as I won't be sidelined by coughing really helps speed up the process. Ordinary activity helps, too, but you need that formal exercise component for consistency of effort for a regular amount of time.

Green tea pomegranite, licorice, boil. Add honey and then I put in big glass jar in refrigerator. Bring out a glass and Top the glass off with Tumeric-Ginger-Chai, warm in microwave, bring out and add squeezed lemon. Every other day.

I agree with some of the advice you have received, however it’s vital to Exercise this will help you to breathe better as the muscles store the oxygen I do walking mainly indoors yesterday I done 27000 steps.
