No Taste After Having Covid, Does Anyone Know If It Will Return?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I only eat as I know I have to. Has anyone gone through this? How long does it take to actually taste food, I know this is a copd site but cannot find any help, and also using a walker as my leg muscles are not working very well, will this get better soon? I was just thinking maybe someone has gone through what I did. Thank you very much in advance for any help.

My sense of smell and taste came back after a couple of weeks, maybe three. My covid was over a year ago in October and I was not horribly sick, mainly just fatigued and coughing. My husband had it much worse than I did. but yes my sense of smell and taste did return.

Unfortunately I do not have any of those around where I live, I am in a very rural area, I have come along way already with my leg muscles.

I'd suggest you find a good research or university hospital where they're studying COVID and find a doc who will treat you. It sounds like you may have some Long COVID symptoms and you need people who are studying COVID to help you.
