Jean I had a ct lung screen which found I had mild emphysema and some bronchial wall thickening. I then had a pulmonary function test which showed no airflow limitation and was told this was consistent with non- obstructive chronic bronchitis. All I know is I’ve had a cough, mucus build up and some shortness of breath for over a year now. At this point my only concern is finding out what’s causing it and treating it. The confusion is after the ct lung screen test I was told I had Copd by my cardiologist than after the pulmonary function test I was told I didn’t have Copd by my pulmonologist.
None of us are doctors @A MyCOPDTeam Member, but if you have been told you have emphysema and bronchitis and you don't have COPD, I'd consider another opinion if I were you. Good luck. 4-19-23
Good for you @A MyCOPDTeam Member!!! I hope you get a better answer from this one. Let me know please what this doc has to say. Write to @A MyCOPDTeam Member if you do write. Thanks.

I have an appointment with a different pulmonologist in two weeks.
Jeepers no wonder you are confused. Just reading what you have said, what I have learned on this site and what Jean has said, my guess would be on the side of YES you do have COPD. Gosh, where do you go from here. Are there other doctors in your area you can go to for yet another opinion? @A MyCOPDTeam Member.4-20-23
