I Have 3 Questions. Has Anyone Had Zephyr Valves Installed? Did They Help? I'm Still A Smoker. What's The Best Way To Quit Naturally?
I quit 10 months ago after smoking for 56 years by using nicotine gum. However, I am still addicted to nicotine and chew 6 or 7 pieces a day. Best of luck to you in quitting. You have to really want to stop to be successful. Have a good day.
I used Nicotine gum -still use it and maybe CBD??
Walmart nicotine gum is pretty good and a lot less expensive than Nicorette.
My Pulmonologist said- it’s a much healthier option- NOTHING in the lungs…
I used Xanax- but don’t recommend it. Getting off of it was hell!
And also fell for the hype that vaping was okay… wrong!
Maybe look in to herbal options??
Hang in there!
I know that it’s the hardest challenge to your self control you will ever face!!
I’ve been there several times.
I’m cheering for you!!📣😃
PS- I got REALY tough on myself…
“Do you want to Live or Die?!”
If you (I) want to see the future with my son… I have to quit!!
DETERMINATION!!
You may backslide- but keep trying!
YOU ARE WORTH THE FIGHT!
I haven't had the valves installed, but the results that are reported are pretty good. There are some side-effects, but the recovery rate is good. Check with the center that will install them and they'll give you their statistics. Just ask. As for quitting smoking, my best advice is find a health professional who's been trained in smoking cessation and follow their plan. They can use prescription, otc, tricks, techniques, groups, support groups, mentors.....anything to help. The best way to quit is the one that works.........
have to say this, my heart dr told me about 17 years ago that its not actually the tobacco that causes all of our issues, its the chemicals int the paper on the outside of the cigitte and the chemicals they add to the tobacco
If you can get it into your head to quit, you will. YOU have to want to. Cold turkey is the best way. It's hard , for a few days. Keep your hands busy and tell yourself just one more hour till you go to sleep. Think about all different things, mind busy, hands busy. After a few days the nicotine craving will lessen, a bit. I quit like this, also with a pencil in my hand. I smoked it, chewed it, ran it in and out of my hair then finally broke it in half and chucked it. About 3 weeks after I quit, all cravings stopped, after 40 years of smoking. Never did light one up again. That was in 1988 ....but Then I was diagnosed in 2001 with Emphysema.... But I'm still here and I wouldn't be if I hadn't quit, that's for darn sure. You can do it, when you are ready.
Has Anyone Had A Zypher Valve Placed In Their Lungs. How Did It Help You?
