Not much. There are some stem cell studies in the pulmonary area that are being conducted by legitimate institutions and a number that are being conducted by for-profit organizations interested in making money on procedures that make no difference in functioning that can be validated by scientific evidence. I hope that some of the legitimate studies show enough promise to lead to new areas of exploration. Many of the pulmonologists, researchers, academicians and clinicians believe that stem cells may plan an integral part both in treatment and potential cure. We're just not there yet.
