Tub Bath Caution
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a shower chair but I’ve been craving a hot bath for a couple of years. I knew there was a risk that I wouldn’t be able to get out - at least not safely, but I’ve had this beautiful, very expensive bottle of crystal clear water additive to use for ultimate bathing comfort. I needed it - I wanted to feel elegant again. I poured all of it in. It’s a spa tub so I turned on the jets. It turned out to be worth the risk
But when my little bit of Heaven was over, hell arrived.

Hey, there! I’m not being hard on myself. I survived it 😊. I just can’t believe what I put myself through so I could soak in laundry conditioner. But I thought it was hilarious. 😁
It was just one of those things.
Showers for me here on out. I’ve never been a bath person anyway. I do love bubbles, though. In fact, I have a bubble machine — the real deal.
Bubble Up, Bubble on. And thanks for writing.

Be well!

Welll that was entertaining? Why dont u use your oxygen in the tub? Get some extenders and keep it on and that might help. I used to be a home care attendant abd assisted lots of people with oxygen to bath. Works great! Make sure u read the label and dont usr laundry products. Hell i used dish soap on my hair before well save that for another time !! I bet u smelled great. Breath easy

@A MyCOPDTeam Member.. Hey lady- don’t be so hard on yourself! You were craving a warm bubbly soak…🫧🛁 and you have every right to the simple pleasures of life!🙂
Maybe just plan it out a bit more and try again…
Maybe add grab bars where you can reach them when in the tub?? Have Hubbie assist you getting in and out- slowly…
But thanks for bravely sharing your funny (though terrifying) adventure! Bubble On Karen!
And breathe easy! We’ve got you!💕
