Do Your Lungs Ever Hurt?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

There are times that I get kind of scared and one of those times is when my lungs ache. Once in awhile it'll wake me up at night. Does this every happen to you? Sometimes I feel all alone and scared especially in the middle of the night when this happens. Am I the only one this happens too?

Jael's right: it may seem that your lungs are hurting, but that's not possible. What you're experiencing is muscular, whether from breathing or stress.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, one of the things I've learned in here is the lungs have no pain receptors, which means your lungs don't actually hurt. It could be a muscle or even stress, but check that out to make sure I have it right. Hope you feel better soon.
