Doc offered me the Prevnar20 booster at the last visit. Two years ago tried to fight for it and was denied. What's new?

I would never get any of the injections they are doing now. Do some research and you will find out it’s all about how money pharma can make and how dangerous they are now

My pulmonologist recommended we get prevnar20 vaccine if we had not had it as we with COPD are so vulnerable to pneumonia and this is the newest tool to help prevent it. Hubby got his from the pulmonologist at our last visit. I have to check to see if I have already had it - as I had the two part vaccine a few years ago. If I have not had it, I will sure get it. Pneumonia can be so deadly - especially to those of us with lung disease. Hubby did not have a reaction.. I plan to get it and the RSV vaccine. Trying to all I can to stay as healthy as I can..

Could be your age and/or where you are in the progression of the disease. I've gotten both shots, but remember there are lots of pneumonia bugs it doesn't cover........

Kz, the pneumonia vaccines have been out for years. I don't think I've heard of anyone who had a bad reaction to them. Please remember that a reaction is a sign that the vacine is working for you. Do what you think is best.

I got both pneumonia shots a couple years ago and my pharmacist say I was good for 10 years. Is that right? No one has said anything about a booster.

I get mine from my GP. I've just had my second one 2 weeks ago. The next one is due in 5 years. No reaction at all .
