After being told i have COPD i find that many foods (bananas, chili, half-boiled eggs ) give me bloat and send me to the toilet many times a day. Is this caused by COPD?
I would get checked by a doc. Some people with COPD do experience digestive issues, but this sounds like something more serious. Get checked out and then talk with a good nutritionist who can help you figure out a diet you can follow.
Dear @ KatrinDeGuia, thank you for your reply. My digestive system seems to have improved lately. I am told that Calcium tablets may cause digestive issues. So i am going to try calcium capsules (which has liquid calcium).
Dietary issues are really getting more and more prominent. The scope of my already limited diet (i am lacto ovo vegetarian) shrank even more. I dont like sweets, cakes, many fats, even milk, white flour and processed food any more. Exploring what triggers a flare I found FOOD triggers and MOOD triggers. I lost weight and must make sure to get enough protein into my system. Also I can only manage to eat 2 meals a day. And much less stuff than before (which is understandable because I move so much less than I used to). So meal planning has become an important issue
I have just the opposite. I'm so constipated and miserable
