RSV Vaccine And Copd

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone who has taken the RSV vaccine noticed an improvement in their Copd symptoms?

Haven't got the RSV vaccine. My friend's pulminologist told her "don't bother". For me, I don't qualify for any health care in the US unless I pay a 10k deductible first so I'm leaving the country.

You know now that I think about it, my COPD issues did improve a bit. I haven’t had a coughing spell during the night and my breathing through my nose has indeed improved. I’m on oxygen 24/7 at 8 liters with exertion and 5 liters at rest. Lots of air blowing in…but do feel better since Dr increased oxygen and gave me the RSV shot. We just have to just stay strong! Love to everyone!

Thank you everyone for your replies. It might be my imagination, but after taking the vaccine I experienced an immediate relief in my COPD symptoms.

That’s an interesting question. May I ask why that would be?
