I have been categorised as Moderate COPD. I live in India, Bangalore city. Here the weather follows a predictable pattern, Hot in summer and Chilly in weather. Yes it helps. The weather map shows how the bad air concentrates in some areas. But check it through the day the numbers change according to the wind and weather. I have found I don't do well when it gets up into the poor range and over 58. That is when it starts affecting my breathing.
It is a good thing to pay attention too.

@MichalZerjav, I looked up AccueWeather, mainly to see the best breathing times to work in the yard, and it said early morning or evening were the best. Pollen count usually peaks around midday. That's very helpful. Thanks for the tip.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, that's interesting about air quality changing throughout the day. Been wondering what are the best times of day during the pollen season to be out of doors? That stuff closes up my throat.

Well for me the weather is part of it. I don't do well below 20degrees or above 85degrees. Wind and humidity have there affects to. But also the high and low pressures affect me, as well as the air quality.
I found watching all of them I can avoid being out in it during the worst times for me. It is amazing how much the Air Quality changes through the day and how much it can affect your breathing. I would say a very large extent it contributes to our condition. Breathe Ez.........
