I am on ox 24/7, planning to spend a few days with family out of town , did t want to take big concentrator, doc didn’t explain why needed.

I am not on 24/7 but at night and while amatory. I'm not a Dr either, but my Dr explained it to me as your breathing gets shallower at night and you might not get a dose of O2 when you need it. Although he ok'ed it for a night or two. Mine is a G5 and has an alarm on it, if it doesn't sense a breath you get an alarm. It was a learning experience. 4 times a night it woke me up.

FYI. For longer trips you can call your O2 supplier and have them send a unit to the hotel before you get there. That way you have a continuous unit in the room. It is part of their service.
