Read online that Marinol ( THC derivative ) can help those with COPD effected w/weight loss.
Also that opiates ( Demerol/Morphine ) can help open airways. I take Fentanyl and Hydrocodone for severe arthritis and notice some difference.
Yes, it is reported that opiates suppress breathing...but as I take Hydrocodone my airways clear up like a new baseline...for maybe 3-4 hrs. Then, the suppression begins. I have to take the pain killers along w/Fentanyl for pain management due to severe arthritis in my neck.
Appreciate all of the comments...peace be with you all.
Hydrocodone is given to suppress coughing and pain management. In my case anyways.
I take hydrocodone for a very bad back . I have rods and screws which dont work to eleviate the pain. Did not know it was given for copd .
I take 30 mg morphine slow release, 2x p/d to open up the lungs. My doc recommended it and I was sceptical, bot works well with no adverse effects
Been on marinol for weight loss. It really didn't do much but make me sleepy.
