My doctor told me to get Mucinex, or the store brand equivalent. It helps to thin and break up the phlegm and works really well.

My doc put me on mucinex. I take the 600 unless i have alot of mucus then i take the 1200. It is an expectorant so it does help get rid of mucus.

I was prescribed musinex. It thins the mucous and helps to get rid of it. The only musinex to take is in red white and blue box as ordered by my pulmonogist. Check with your dr.
